Refund and Returns Policy

Effective from 13 August 2026

This policy summarises withdrawal, cancellation, refund and return terms for ready-made products, made-to-order items, gift vouchers and scheduled painting events purchased through the Rózsaüveg webshop. It does not restrict any mandatory statutory consumer right.

1. Ready-made, non-personalised physical products

If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason within 14 days after receiving the product. Send your notice of withdrawal to the general contact address revealed after the anti-bot check below.

• The product must be returned within 14 days after communicating withdrawal. We will agree the return address and method by email; please do not dispatch a parcel before receiving confirmation.
• Direct return costs are borne by the consumer unless we have agreed otherwise in advance.
• We refund the purchase price and evidenced standard delivery charge no later than 14 days after learning of the withdrawal, using the original payment method. We may withhold reimbursement until the product has arrived or reliable evidence of dispatch has been provided.
• The consumer is liable for diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product.

2. Made-to-order objects and paintings

Under Section 29(1)(c) of Hungarian Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.), the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to non-prefabricated goods made to a consumer's specifications or clearly personalised for that consumer. This may include a Tiffany object or painting made to an agreed size, motif, colour or other personal requirement.

This exception does not affect mandatory rights relating to defective performance, conformity, product warranty or any applicable commercial guarantee. Please report a quality issue promptly, preferably with photographs and the order reference.

3. Painting events and workshops on a specified date

Under Section 29(1)(l) of Hungarian Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.), the 14-day no-reason withdrawal right does not apply to a leisure service scheduled for a specific date.

• At least 48 hours before the event: a booking may be amended or postponed in writing. The amount paid may be applied to another Rózsaüveg event with available places within 3 months after the original event date.
• Cancellation within 48 hours or non-attendance: the participation fee is not refundable and the booking cannot be rescheduled.
• Payment at the venue: there is no paid amount to refund after a timely cancellation, but please notify us so that the place can be released.
• Cancellation by the service provider: if the service provider cancels the event, the participant may choose between a full refund of the amount paid and a free transfer to a later event with available capacity.

4. Gift vouchers

A voucher can be redeemed once, for the number of participants stated on it and until its printed expiry date. Current vouchers are valid for 3 months after issue.

• A consumer may exercise the applicable statutory withdrawal right for an unused voucher sold at a distance by giving notice within the statutory period.
• The price of a redeemed, expired or partially used voucher is not refundable unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
• If the service provider cancels the chosen event, voucher redemption may be restored or its validity reasonably extended.

5. Refund and accounting document

Card-payment refunds are initiated through Stripe and normally returned to the original payment instrument. The time needed for the credit to appear may depend on the card issuer. Where an invoice or receipt has already been issued, the required correcting document is produced through Számlázz.hu.
